The tornado touched down on the northeast side of Mcalisterville, PA, near the Juniata Mennonite School. Damage included a flipped tractor trailer, snapped pine trees, and a long swatch of snapped and uprooted trees. The main school building roof was lifted off its base. There was sporadic tree damage all the way to Dunn Valley Road. Along Dunn Valley Road there was a flipped travel trailer, damaged trees, and a damaged house. Farther along the track, it damaged a bus shed and a tool shed. There was also sporadic tree damage in this area. Further to the south and east, along Maze and Blackdog Roads, there was focused swaths of tree damage along the north side of the road. Near the end of the road the tree damage became less evident. Peak winds were estimated at 105 mph, giving it an EF1 rating. There were no injuries or fatalities.
Heavy rain fell in a band from eastern Juniata County northeast across Selinsgrove and Lewisburg to Muncy. Rainfall totals of 8 to 9 inches were reported in the Richfield area. Several trailers were washed away, 30 homes and 4 businesses were damaged along with a number of roads and bridges. A nursery lost about $100,000 worth of plants along Mahantango Creek.
A severe thunderstorm producing winds estimated to have been 100-110 mph produced considerable straight-line wind damage between Mifflintown and Thompsontown. The strongest downburst winds associated with the storm occurred at the Centre Lutheran Church, where the roof of the church was peeled off from the north. A metal cross on the church's steeple was also destroyed, while a pine tree adjacent to the church had a piece of its trunk snapped off. The storm then continued|southeastward across the Juniata River, producing tree damage near the PFBC Vandyke Hatchery. Additional tree damage was then found farther southwest along Highway 333 immediately southeast of Mexico and east of Port Royal, associated with the rear flank|downdraft of the storm.
