What the reports say

Spotter reported hail between dime and nickel size from a strong thunderstorm about 1 mile NW from the intersection of Weston Road and Griffin Road. Pea size hailed was also reported by the public via social media near Emerald Estates.
A trained spotter reported quarter sized hail along Interstate 595 near SW 66th Terrace. Several additional reports of pea to dime sized hail were received in Cooper City, Davie, and Plantation between 430pm and 445pm EDT. Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph were recorded in the vicinity around the same time.
Severe thunderstorm winds downed trees and power lines and spawned a funnel cloud in Coral Springs. A SKYWARN observer reported 3/4" hail in Oakland Park. Wind gust of 58 mph were measured at Ft Lauderdale International Airport and lightning strikes damaged two planes and the runway.
