A severe thunderstorm caused wind damage across Hunterdon County, hitting the central part of the county the hardest in Alexandria, Franklin and Clinton Townships. Ten people suffered minor injuries at the Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning in Readington Township when tents were toppled and debris struck them. In Alexandria Township, the roof of a barn was torn away and a shed was totally damaged. Tree damage occurred in Clinton along New Jersey State Route 31 and County Route 929. About 5,000 homes and businesses lost power.
A squall line of severe showers and thunderstorms caused wind damage in and around Flemington in Hunterdon County. Some roof damage occurred to a couple of buildings. A wind gust to 60 mph was measured in Lambertville. Some transformers popped in the borough.
A squall line of strong to severe thunderstorm tore down several trees throughout Hunterdon County. The worst reported damage was in East Amwell Township. The east and west walls of a new barn under construction collapsed. On Deer Run Farm near Clover Hill on Amwell Road, many trees were snapped or knocked down. One downed tree damaged a pickup truck.
