Flooding was reported in the following sectors of Ponce, La Lula, Highway 1 in front of Mercedita Airport, Madrigal, Barrio Los Chinos, and Barrio Tamarindo. A 29 yer old person was overtaken by the flood waters of River Portuguez a he attempted to cross a low bridge on foot during the late morning of Tuesday September 23, along road 505, at Barrio Las Yucas in the municipality of Ponce.
Flooding was reported in the following sectors of Ponce, Extension Punto Oro, Punta Diamante, Las Americas Housing, Santa Teresita, Vista Mar, Playa de Ponce, Barrio Magueyes, Villa Esperanza, El Madrigal, Villa Grillasca, Barrio Salistral, Perla del Sur, Barrio Rio Chiquito, Machuelo Avenue, and Mariani. Several homes were reported flooded.
A fallen tree and a fallen utility pole were reported in Camino Ramiro Montanez (Ramiro Montanez Way) in Aguas Buenas. This was near the intersection with Camino Minillas (Minillas Way). The fallen tree was reported over a house and its balcony. Electric cables were also reported over the roadway and near the house.
