A microburst associated with a supercell thunderstorm downed numerous trees within southern Giles County. Several trees fell on vehicles and one fell on a house. Some roof and shingle damage was also observed in this area as well.
The Friends and Family Restaurant on 100 Woodland Drive in Pearisburg sustained considerable damage from thunderstorm winds. The roof from the back porch of the restaurant was blown over the top of the building and into the front parking lot causing damage to one parked vehicle in the form of a busted out windshield.
