Thunderstorm winds blew down 50 to 75 trees across the county. The hardest hit region was around Aspen. One of the trees fell onto a vehicle in Aspen. Another tree fell on a vehicle in the Keysville. Damage values are estimated.
At least twenty trees, as well as several power lines, were blown down across portions of Charlotte County as very heavy rainfall associated with thunderstorms which developed in one of the feeder bands of Tropical Storm Michael allowed strong winds aloft to mix down to the surface.
Thunderstorm winds destroyed a small workshop that had been resting on cinder blocks along Aspen Wall Road. Part of a shingle roof was also blown off a house, and several trees were snapped and uprooted. Debris was all blown toward the northeast, the direction of the storm's movement. Damage values are estimated.
