Per hospital personnel, a 61 year old female was admitted to a hospital in Dallas on June 28th with injuries sustained from a lightning strike. She died from her injuries on July 2nd. No other information was provided or could be found.
A complex of thunderstorms rolled across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex early morning on Wednesday September 9th. Lightning from one storm struck an apartment complex, setting fire to it and damaging 16 units. No injuries were reported, but 27 people were displaced.
Lightning struck a house on the 300 block of Still Forest. The lightning destroyed all the wiring in the house, also damaging the roof, insulation, sheetrock, and carpet. The Fire Marshall estimated damages at $60,000.
