Several reports of a funnel cloud were received prior to touchdown. The most extensive tornado damage occurred north of Road 82 along road 151 where several structures were impacted. An unanchored home was slid 18 feet off its foundation into the west side of a barn.
A narrow band of thunderstorms continuously regenerated over Paulding county during the morning with emergency reporting flash flooding continuing into the afternoon. Numerous roads were closed with some completely washed out. The most serious flooding was around Blue Creek where more than two dozen homes had water into the first floor and some were evacuated. Sandbagging was needed in and around Blue Creek.
Emergency management officials reported that damage was observed along a roughly half mile long path. The damage started near the intersection of county highway C-105 and U.S. 24. Two mobile homes that were attached together, were flipped over, destroying it. As the wind continued east a pole barn next to the mobile home was destroyed. Along U.S. 24, several trees were uprooted in two separate residences. Two homes suffered roof damage as well. The damage ended just across the Maumee River where several large broken tree limbs were found along the river bank. The combined damage is estimated at $100,000.
