Fields and farm access roads were flooded near Abercrombie. Portions of southern Eagle and northeastern Abercrombie townships received from 4 to 7 inches of rain from the late afternoon of the 16th through the overnight hours of the 17th.
Excessive rainfall of 3 to 5 inches caused many area ditches and creeks to overflow into fields and across farm access roads. High water flooded several sections of cropland and several farmyards in Brandenburg and Summit Townships. Grain harvest equipment was stranded by flood waters and many farm vehicles had to be moved from flooded areas during the late night and pre-dawn hours.
Street and basement flooding was reported after 2 to 6 inches of rain fell in a short amount of time. 30 cars were stalled at a number of intersections from the high water. The county courthouse sustained some water damage as well.
