Wind gusts were estimated to be near 70 MPH. These gusts were accompanied by hail as large as 3.5 inches in diameter. Several reports of shattered windows and damaged siding were received from this wind-driven hail. Vehicle damage was reported, including from the Emergency Manager who experienced that largest hail and strongest wind on Highway 10 east of Hazard.
Wind gusts estimated near 80 MPH resulted in a house suffering window damage from flying debris, with a children outdoor playhouse being flipped on its side. Several large trees were dragged across the owner's property. A pole barn was also destroyed, with 6×6 poles snapped and debris spread from southwest to northeast across the property.
Wind gusts of 65 MPH and 69 MPH were measured by a mesonet station located six miles north-northwest of Loup City. A wind gust of 71 MPH was measured by a mesonet station located six miles north-northeast of Sherman Reservoir.
