Significant flooding occurred across portions of Jasper County as 6 to 8 inches of rain fell. Dozens of roads (40-50) were under water, including Highway 528. Several roads were washed out along with one bridge. Three businesses and a mobile home were flooded in Heidelburg.
Flooding occurred around Heidelberg. County Road 113 was washed out at the bridge. County Road 37 was washed out. A bridge was flooded, but not washed out, on MS Highway 528 west of MS Highway 503. Another bridge was washed out on County Road 35 south of Heidelberg.
Persistent thunderstorms with a slow moving rain band produced widespread 4 to 6 inches of rain across much of Jasper County. Numerous roads were flooded with several closed. Minor damage occurred to some crops due to water soaked fields and crops.
