A line of severe thunderstorms produced damaging wind gusts across Grenada. A total of six houses were damaged from fallen trees. Three of the houses had significant damage. A tree which fell on a house on Pecan Street injured one person.
Numerous trees and a few power lines were blown down, generally from Elliott to Grenada. A few trees were blown down at The Dogwoods Golf Course where a tree fell on a golf cart. One minor injury occurred from the fallen tree. Additionally, a few buildings in Grenada sustained some roof damaged.
A line of severe thunderstorms produced a swath of 70-75mph winds across central and western portions of Grenada County on the afternoon of May 4th. Numerous trees and power lines were downed along with a shed that had its roof torn off. In particular, much of this damage occurred in the Sweethome community where some of this wind damage created a swath of three to four miles long and a mile wide.
