What the reports say

The flood wave from the heavy rain event during the 9th and 10th moved down the Calcasieu River flooding structures near Oakdale and Oberlin. At Oakdale 30 homes flooded, 2 flooded at Oberlin, and 3 flooded at Indian Village.
LA DOTD reported water over Highway 165 between Oberlin and Oakdale and many ther roads in Allen Parish. The 10 to 20 inches of rain resulted from a stalled feeder band from the remnants of Hurricane Barry. Several homes flooded in the area.
A cluster of thunderstorms moving northeast about 35 mph blew down several trees near Mittie according to state police. A damage survey conducted by the Allen Parish emergency manager showed that three homes or mobile homes and several barns were damaged by strong winds near Mittie.
