Numerous reports of hail came in from Channahon. Nickel size hail was reported as early as 7:22 PM CDT with the first severe report of hail arriving at 7:33 PM CDT. The largest hail stones were up to 1.75 inches. Damage to cars was reported by the emergency manager.
Numerous reports of large hail were received near Bolingbrook. Quarter to half dollar size hail was reported near Boughton Road and Weber Road. Quarter size hail was reported on Salem Square where a picture window was broken. Golfball size hail was reported at Boughton Road and Route 53.
Multiple reports of hail of to the size of quarters were received between Romeoville and Lockport. Reports include penny size hail at the intersection of Romeo Road and Frieh Drive, quarter size hail at 135th Street and Smith Road, and penny size hail near State Street and Route 7.
