Thunderstorm winds destroyed an open sided barn on the east side of Illinois Route 267, that was about six tenths of a mile north northeast of the intersection of Illinois Routes 267 and 108. Also, a few large tree limbs were blown down.
Widespread wind damage across Greene County. In White Hall, numerous large tree limbs were blown down. Several of the limbs knocked down power lines. In Carrollton, a couple of large trees were snapped off near the base. In Greenfield, a large tree was snapped off and another tree was snapped off 4 miles northeast of Greenfield.
The Illinois River along the border of Greene County remained at major flood levels in early May, dropped below major levels for a while, then rose to major levels again at the end of May. Damage was limited to some closed roads and flooded farmland.
