Large hail of up to 1.5 inches in diameter fell along US 50 in Clinton County. North of Carlyle, widespread damage to siding was reported along with one broken window. Other cities along the path of the storm include Aviston, Breese, Beckemeyer, and Huey.
A swath of large hail was reported in the New Baden area. There were numerous reports of vehicles with their windows broken both in town and along Interstate 64 between mile markers 27 and 30. The largest hail stones were baseball size.
