Thunderstorm winds produced heavy damage in a half mile wide path. The winds stripped a roof off of a large barn and blew down numerous trees which fell on garages, cars and outbuildings. The winds also downed power and phone lines in the area.
A strong gust front and associated thunderstorms knocked down trees and powerlines producing power outages. The most widespread damage was in northern Franklin County. Roof damage was reported at a residence on Highway 121 near Winchester.
Dozens of trees were knocked down throughout the county. Several telephone poles and power lines were knocked down. Power outages were reported in the Tims Ford Lake area. A car port was blown onto U.S. Highway 64 near Huntland.
