A micro-burst hit along the Wyoming/Lackawanna County line in Falls and Newton Townships. Most of the damage was to trees which were uprooted. A garage was partially collapsed by the wind with 1 garage door completely blown in. A home sustained some damage to the roof as many shingles were blown off.
Fast moving severe thunderstorms ripped across the county from west to east. Widespread wind damage, mostly uprooted trees and isolated siding damage to some homes, occurred in a band from Mehoopany eastward across Tunkhannock to the Factoryville area.
A thunderstorm moved across the region and became severe. This thunderstorm produced severe winds caused damage to three homes from fallen trees. This thunderstorm resulted in trees and power lines down in the Nicholson township and Factoryville Borough.
