The tornado entered Cimarron County in the western Oklahoma Panhandle…about twelve miles west of Felt…from Union County in New Mexico at approximately 2035 CST. The tornado remained on the ground for about six miles in Cimarron County with a maximum path width of four hundred and forty yards. A steel windmill tower was destroyed and three twenty-four foot metal feed troughs were also destroyed along with considerable fence damage. No injuries were reported. The tornado dissipated at 2047 CST between six and seven miles west of Felt.
This tornado pushed a semi-truck off the highway into a ditch approximately six miles north of Boise City on Highway 287. This tornado was later seen by a storm spotter further to the southeast. There is no known damage otherwise with this tornado.
The tornado developed about three miles north northeast of Keyes Oklahoma at 1755 CST for less than a minute. The tornado path length and path width were estimated. The tornado remained over open country and no damage or injuries were reported.
