Downburst winds occurred near and three miles north of Felt. Windows were blown out of two cars in Felt. The roofs of a feed lot three miles north of Felt and at surrounding houses were torn but not completely ripped off. Six power poles were knocked down and some were completely snapped. Small trees were snapped in two and large trees had branches snapped off. A few irrigation pivots were knocked over and broken. A stop sign was uprooted and tossed 300 feet north-northeast of its original location. All of this damage supports a downburst with winds likely over 80mph.
Two different wind gusts 5 mins apart, highest was 78 mph, were measured by the mesonet station located in Boise City. At the same time reports of cottonwood trees being ripped apart in Boise City came in from the public.
There were 4 to 5 power poles snapped from thunderstorms winds. The lines were laying across the road at County Roads east/west 20 and north/south 26. Extremely low visibility was also reported due to blowing dust east of Boise City.
