A microburst, with an estimated wind of 60 mph (52kt), struck near Atwood Lake, producing a swath of damage along Menlo Drive off Route 542. The microburst was 200 yards long and 50 yards wide. Numerous tall pine trees were snapped. A few fell onto houses and sheds.
