Emergency management reported water flowing out of the spillway from Stoney Creek Dam and flooding McGuire Creek down to Leesville lake. SR 37 and East Side drive were washed out in spots. Sand and gravel were washed into basement of one home.
Torrential thunderstorm rains of up to 3 inches produced minor flash flooding across southern portions of Carroll County. Across northern sections of Carroll County, minor street flooding was reported along Clay and Glacier Streets near Augusta. In the southern part of the county, Scott Run Creek, just southwest of Perryville, rose out of its banks and partially flooded Cologne Road.
Thunderstorm rains producing rainfall rates in excess of 1.0 inches per hour and training repeatedly over the same area led to significant road flooding across parts of Carroll County. SR 524, south of Mechanicstown was flooded. Just northwest of Perrysville, Bramble Road near SR 332 was flooded. An some trees were down due to mudslides onto SR 39 near Dellroy.
