Dozens of trees, including several large ones, and wires were reported down in the Hamlets of Springs and Northwest Harbor in the town of East Hampton. The hardest hit areas were from Woodbine Drive to Glade Road in Springs and Lafarge's Landing in Northwest Harbor.
Numerous trees were reported down from Jamesport to Mattituck, including a 30 foot wide swath of trees near the North Fork Preserve, sending a tree limb through a roof in Northville, and a 100 foot pine snapping in half.
There were two large trees reported down. The first was down on wires at the intersection of New York State Route 25 (Main Road) and South Harbor Road, the second at the intersection of South Harbor Road and Baywater Avenue.
