Thunderstorms with torrential downpours caused creek and poor drainage flooding in east central Camden County centered in and around Voorhees Township. Flooding along the Millard Creek and Kirkwood Lake reached some properties. Roadway flash flooding also occurred and some vehicles were trapped in flood waters. Event precipitation totals included 4.26 inches in Stratford, 4.10 inches in Clementon, 4.09 inches in Gloucester Township, 4.00 inches in Glendora and 3.50 inches in Blenheim.
Thunderstorms with torrential downpours caused creek and poor drainage flooding in west central Camden County in and around Somerdale Borough and Gloucester Township. In Somerdale, significant street flooding was reported with several vehicles stuck in flood waters. Event precipitation totals included 4.26 inches in Stratford, 4.10 inches in Clementon, 4.09 inches in Gloucester Township, 4.00 inches in Glendora and 3.50 inches in Blenheim.
A thunderstorm with heavy downpours caused small stream flooding as well as roadway flooding in and around Stratford Borough. The heavily traveled White Horse Pike (U.S. Route 30) was closed after up to two feet of water accumulated on it. Flooding occurred along the South Branch of the Cooper River. In Haddonfield, flooding caused damage to books within the Haddonfield Public Library. About 360 books were damaged beyond repair in the children's library. The library's carpeting was also damaged.
