Thunderstorms produced a wind gust of 78 mph at the Fremont airport. The wind blew off part of the roof of an apartment complex in Fremont. Several homes had shingles blown off. Some power lines and power poles were blown down by the wind. A man was injured by flying debris that broke through the window of his minivan.
A downburst appeared to have occurred in the city of Fremont. The primary damage centered from midtown to the southeast side of town. In this area significant tree damage occurred including large branches downed and some uprooted. Power line and pole damage was also noted.
Thunderstorm wind gusts estimated at over 60 mph cause scattered tree damage from south of Dodge into town. Outbuildings and other property in the area sustained damage as well. The winds were accompanied by hail that was at golf ball-size.
