Farm Road 134 at the James River was flooded with about 200 yards of the roadway under 2 to 3 feet of water near the Greene and Webster County line. This storm report will contain the overall flood damage estimates across Greene County for this storm event. There were several episodes and heavy rainfall events which led to a compound affect to the flooding damage. Numerous roads, bridges, and low water crossings were heavily damaged.
At least two homes on Farm Road 193 just north of Sunshine Avenue on the east side of Springfield had several feet of water inside the homes from the historic James River flood. Several cars were flooded in the neighborhood.
The Rivercut Golf Course was closed for several days due to severe flooding of the course and buildings. Several buildings associated with the golf course were flooded. The Connie Morris Golf Learning Center sustained water damage with the floors, baseboards, and lower walls. The maintenance building had about two feet of water. There was complete destruction of a bridge at the course's sixth hole. The golf course had damage and river debris to some of the fairways and greens.
