Rainfall totaling 6.51 inches fell at the National Weather Service office over the 4 day period from March 11th to 15th. Similar totals were reported across much of the Ozarks. Single day totals between and one inch and three inches were reported with some multi-day totals as much as seven to eight inches. This heavy rainfall lead to widespread flooding across much of the Ozarks.
A slow moving thunderstorm produced from 3.00 to 6.00 inches of rain over a 6 hour period across portions of eastern Springfield and the towns of Turner and Galloway. Some locations received as much as an inch in a 15 minute period during the event.
