Hail fell across the Northwest Angle of Minnesota to Oak Island from 1130 AM CDT to 1150 AM CDT. Most hail ranged from pea to dime sized, with a few quarter sized pieces mixed in near the Fort Saint Charles Historic Site on Magnusons Island.
The hail report was based on the continuation of the storm that produced nickel sized hail in northwest Beltrami county near Fourtown. Public reports were relayed to the National Weather Service that the storm continued into a largely uninhabited area of extreme southern Lake of the Woods county. The Mayville radar indicated the storm likely produced large hail along the southern edge of Lake of the Woods county.
