A swath of very large hail fell across central Muhlenberg County. Baseball-size hail was reported about a mile south of Greenville. The large hail swath continued eastward to Beech Creek, where hail was the size of golf balls. This large hail swath was associated with the same supercell thunderstorm that spawned the tornado in southwest Muhlenberg County.
A thunderstorm core moving east-northeastward across Muhlenberg County produced hail measured to quarter size in Beechmont and golf ball size hail in Browder, submitted via mPING. Emergency management reported hail damage to vehicles occurred in Beechmont.
Golf ball size hail fell from Bremen eastward to the Green River, including areas along U.S. Highway 431 north of Central City. This hail fell from the same storm that produced the funnel cloud along the Western Kentucky Parkway northwest through north of Greenville.
