Wind gusts estimated to be 75 mph from an apparent microburst blew down several trees and partially ripped the roofs off of three homes in Folletts, IA around 505 pm CDT July 23. In addition, a barn had its roof blown off.
Wind gusts estimated to be 70 mph blew down some power lines and trees about 8 miles north of Donahue, IA around 715 pm June 18. Two trees fell onto a house. A nearby garage sustained damage to the roof and another garage was knocked down.
Damaging straight line winds near 70 mph downed numerous tree limbs throughout the town. A funeral home suffered damage to its roof when a tree landed on it. Two large umbrellas,valued at $2,000 each, weredestroyed at the Dewitt Aquatic Center.
