Significant wind damage was found in the Carlton Inlet Drive area of Bradenton. Sections of roof decking and shingles were removed from an apartment building, trees and branches were knocked down, and gutters, fascia and porch covers were damaged.
Thunderstorm winds caused minor roof, carport and lanai damage along State Road 64 from Anna Maria east to Bradenton. A few large trees and several branches were downed by thunderstorm winds in the 400 block of 34th Street West in Bradenton.
Thunderstorm winds blew out the windows of several homes and downed numerous trees and power lines throughout the city of Bradenton mainly west of the U.S. Highway 301 corridor. Several vehicles were also damaged from fallen trees, branches and wind blown debris in Bradenton. Nearly 40,000 Bradenton residents were without electrical power for up to eight hours after the storm passed.
