Flood waters covered many sections of Patillas municipality. Two low crossing bridges at Barrio Marin, Los Barros sector collapsed, and several homes were isolated. Another bridge collapsed at Barrio Cacaboa, Los Pompos sector isolating eight homes, and at Barrio Icacos La Mula sector. Rivers Marin, Providencia and Los Pollos were reported out of their banks, flooding seven homes in the Providencia neighborhood.
The 911 Call Center reported PR-184 in Ba. Jagual completely flooded. A total of 15 people are said to be trapped. Close to this area passes Rio Grande de Patillas. Upstream the USGS river sensor had the highest observation of 14.76 ft at 2:35 PM AST.
Public shared a video in social media of a Sink Hole in a bridge (over Jacaboa river) along road PR-7755 in Bo. Jacaboa in Patillas due to heavy rain. Several Families are uncommunicated due to the situation. Approximately 2-3 inches have fallen combined with previous rainfall.
