What the reports say

Extensive damage was reported at a home on St. 1, La Sierra, El Duque, Naguabo. This was due to a landslide triggered by heavy rains. No injuries were reported among the 5 residents of the home, including a child, an 88-year-old man, and a 78-year-old woman. The home showed badly damaged walls and columns, as well as a sinkhole in the floor. Emergency managers reported that the home and surrounding land are 5 feet deep from before the landslide.
A 60 year old women drove her car into a flooded segment of road 31. Her vehicle was dragged by the current but she was able to get out, becoming trapped in some bushes where she was later rescued. River Rio Blanco overflowed its banks along road 31. Highway 3 flooded from road 192 to the city bridge.
Heavy rainfall caused the Rio Blanco to rise out of its banks, resulting in localized flooding along La Pitina curve in Naguabo. One person was stranded by rapidly rising water but was rescued safely by the Naguabo Municipal Office of Emergency Management. Only the La Pitina curve was flooded; nearby exit 22 remained open to traffic.
