River Botijas overflowed its banks along road 720, km. 0.3 in Barrio Palo Hincado, in the border between the Barranquitas and Orocovis municipalities. Flash flooding killed|two people who drowned when their truck Ford F150 car was swept away by river Botijas flood waters.
The Municipal Office of Emergency Management (OMME) in Barranquitas reported a landslide that affected PR-720 near kilometer 2.9 interior, in Barrio Palo Hincado, Sector Las Pi��as. The landslide caused a significant debris flow, rendering the road impassable.
Emergency management officials reported a landslide near the park on PR-770 in Barrio Canab��n, Barranquitas. Approximately 10 to 15 families were cut off and unable to leave their homes due to blocked access. About 6 landslides were reported in this area. Officials were unable to respond during the night due to continuous rain but addressed the situation the following morning.
