Broadcast media, shared through social media, showed a video of a creek overflowing and flooding PR-102, with floodwaters visibly affecting the Mangia Italiano restaurant. Although the area was inundated, cars were able to cross the flooded roadway slowly, and no vehicles appeared to be stranded near the restaurant.
The Cabo Rojo RAWS station at the National Wildlife Refuge recorded a sustained wind of 29 mph with a gust to 48 mph from the east southeast at 1:14 pm and 1:43 pm. Several wind gusts between 42-45 mph were recorded between 2:34-3:43 pm. A downed tree was reported by emergency along road 308 in Cabo Rojo.
Flooding was reported on Highway PR-100, from the traffic light at the Cabo Rojo COOP to the intersection with the Santa Ana funeral home. PR-100 in the Mayag��ez to Cabo Rojo direction and the secondary road are completely impassable.
