Strong wind combined with heavy rain to force a substantial oak tree to fall at the Hotel Yountville in Yountville Sunday afternoon. The Oak tree was to have been a major focus of the landscaping plan. The tree fell onto a new rock wall and damaged a pump house.
Heavy rain led to flooding on State Highway 29 under Trancas Street. Three vehicles crashed after losing control in the flooded underpass. Two of the vehicles collided while the other ran into a guard rail. No one was hurt.
The westbound lane of Imola Avenue at Lernhart Street near South Jefferson Street was closed due to flooding. Heavy rain along with overwhelmed storm drains caused the flooding. Also, minor rock and mud slides occurred across Butts Canyon Road just before the Lake County line.
