Heavy rain upstream in the White Mountains caused flash flooding, both on highway 6 with mud and debris over the road (causing a closure), and in the town of Chalfant with 20 homes damaged from flood waters. Four or 5 of those homes (on Sacramento St) suffered major damage per a Cal OES report. The timing of the flash flood is estimated from between the time highway 6 was reported to have debris over it until about one hour after flooding reached the town of Chalfant (times on CHP incident page).
Eight homes along highway 182 in Bridgeport received water damage including one home with a flooded basement and another with several inches of water on the main floor. Time estimated based on period of heavy rain in radar.
Extensive road damage in the Golden Gate Canyon area west of Walker, CA in the Slink Fire burn area from heavy thunderstorm rainfall. Several large boulders were dislodged and entire hillsides were eroded way from heavy rains. Damage estimates unavailable.
