The stream gage on Smith Creek near New Market rose above flood stage during the specified timeframe, reaching a peak stream level of 8.0 feet at 5:30 AM EST. At 8 feet, fields near the creek are flooded. Water also reaches Route 826.
The river level at Mount Jackson on the Shenandoah River surpassed flood stage of 13 feet, cresting at 13.05 feet. ||Agricultural flooding took place along the river. Water approached a road near the river in Mount Jackson. Downstream, several low water crossings were flooded between Woodstock and Strasburg.
The stream gage on the North Fork Shenandoah River near Strasburg exceeded the 17 foot flood stage during the indicated period. The peak level of 17.77 was observed at 8:00am EST on June 23rd. Low lying areas and low water crossings were flooded, along with the river walk at the Strasburg Riverfront Park.
