A downburst occurred with numerous trees snapped or uprooted along its path. The damage began along Kincheloe Run Road and ended just east of Interstate 79 about 2 miles southwest of Lost Creek. ||Walls of a barn collapsed along Kincheloe Run Road. Along the border with Lewis County the underpinning of a double wide manufactured home was damaged along Elk City Road.
The automated weather station at Clarksburg Benedum Airport measured a 52 mph gust. Nearby in Pine Bluff and Enterprise, multiple trees were blown down. One oak tree landed on a house and damaged the roof. Saturated soils from recent rain likely contributed to the number of downed trees.
Widespread damage was observed in the Laurel Valley area, including siding ripped off the wall of a house, and a partially collapsed wall of another home. In addition, several trees were blown down that caused damage to nearby fences.
