A tree was blown down on power lines on Russ Road near the intersection with Totten Lane. Two trees were also blown down near the intersection of Laing Road and Wakeman Mill Road. Another tree was blown down on Mountain Road.
Water level at the gauge along the South Fork Shenandoah River at Front Royal surpassed flood stage of 12 feet. The water crested at 14.34 feet at 9:15 PM EST, September 18th. ||Railroad tracks along the river south of Front Royal began to flood. Water approached structures in Riverton. Backwater begins to creep up Luray Avenue toward the railroad trestle. A riverside parking area at the end of Luray Avenue was flooded.
The stream gage on the South Fork Shenandoah River near Front Royal exceeded the 12 foot flood stage during the indicated period. The peak level of 16.52 feet occurred at 10:30pm EST on June 3rd. Luray Avenue was flooded along with a riverside parking area and boat ramp, and other overland flooding in the vicinity.
