Thunderstorm winds blew multiple trees down on the east side of Claytor Lake, southwest to southeast of Claytor Lake State Park. A single tree was blown down near the intersection of Lowmans Ferry Road and Lead Mine Road. Another tree was blown down on a house roughly three miles south-southeast of Claytor Lake State Park. A few trees were blown down on Chapel Road. Multiple trees were blown down on Lead Mine Road. Damage values are estimated.
A gustnado caused part of the brick exterior of a commercial building to collapse, exposing the wooden frame and insulation of the building. Automobiles and rental transport trailors were also tossed around and damaged by strong winds.
Thunderstorm winds blew down several trees on Miller Lane, with 5 homes suffering minor damage. Trees and limbs also came down near the intersection of Bob White Boulevard and Newbern Road. Trees also fell on a bus near the intersection of Memorial Drive and Bob White Boulevard.
