Flash flooding occurred at the intersection of I-66 and US Route 29 in Gainesville. Wellington Road was closed due to flash flooding and Hayden Elementary School reported flooding. The Linton Hall Road corridor between Balls Fords Road and Nissan Pavilion were blocked due to high water. More than 25 roads across the county were under water. Up to 100 trees were downed due to saturated grounds. Twelve homes flooded in Yorkshire, near Manassas Park. Damage estimates $55,000.
The Kettle Run At Bristow Manor GC stream gauge reached minor flood stage with a peak crest of 7.36 feet. At 6.5 feet, a foot of water is flowing over the lowest point along Valley View Drive near Kettle Run. Delayed report from 6/26/2025.
The water level along the South Fork Quantico Creek rapidly rose above flood state of 9 feet, cresting at 12.04 feet at 9:30 AM EST on August 13th. The water level remained above flood stage until 11:30 AM EST on the 13th. Joplin Road was covered by water around the bridge and a few feet of water were flowing over the road nearby.
