Tornado developed in southeast Middlesex county along the Plankatank River. It moved northeast through Deltaville then off the land and dissipated over the Rappahannock River. Thirty five homes in Deltaville sustained major damage or were destroyed by the tornado. An additional 25 homes sustained minor damage or were affected by the tornado or its associated debris. with many being severely damaged. Numerous trees were downed and many were sheared off.
NWS storm survey concluded that an EF1 tornado with winds estimated around 100 mph affected Middlesex county near Remlik. The tornado destroyed a house on Reed Road, tore off the second story of a barn in Hampstead Farms, and tore off the roof of another barn in Corbin Farms.
Eight covered boat slips were destroyed at Walden's Marina. Boat slip was damaged at Norview Marina, and the roof was blown off the covered boat slips at Walden's and thrown back towards the river. Also, an automobile was crushed under the roof and it was reported that a boater jumped overboard to escape the collapsing timbers.
