Numerous trees were downed throughout the county. The most significant wind damage was a downed tree onto a home in Grove Place which severely damaged the home. Wind damage was also sustained to a warehouse in Woods Edge. Additional tree damage was along VA-602 near Exter Mill Road, Cattail Road near Rowlett Road, Reedy Branch Road, Route 10 at Old Bermuda Hundres Road, and Brandermill Parkway. A large downed tree closed the intersection at Rochelle Road and Wooddale Road. Another large tree fell onto a fence in Mistwood Forest Drive near Happy Hill Road.
National Weather Service Storm Survey determined the damage was consistent with straight line winds estimated between 80 and 90 mph. The winds did damage in a small area adjacent to the Bermuda Crossroads marketplace shopping center. Two buildings suffered damage. One building had part of the roof peeled off allowing water damage to occur inside the building. The second building, a vacant masonry warehouse structure, suffered much more damage as winds blew down hanging garage doors and then blew out the back wall of the structure.
