The Buena Vista City 911 Center reported that a tin roof was blown off the back part of a house on Burch Avenue landing in the alley behind the home. This event occurred just east-southeast of the city. Another tree was down on Longhollow road on the northeast side of the city.
Thunderstorm winds blew three trees down within the city limits of Buena Vista. One tree fell at the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and 25th Street. The second tree fell at the intersection of 23rd Street and Walnut Avenue. The third tree fell at the intersection of 25th street and Maple Avenue. Damage values are estimated.
The COOP station at Buena Vista (BUVV2) reported 1.27 inches for the 24-hours ending at 700 AM local time which was the highest on record for December 15th. The old record was 0.68 inches in 1948. Nearly continuous climate records at this station began in 1937.
