A vehicle with a single occupant was pushed off of Kimberling Road into deeper water as Kimberling Creek flooded at least 2 feet over the roadway. The occupant attempted to abandon the vehicle, but was swept away by the flooding and passed away. Nearby, Wesendonck Road was observed flooded and impassible at several locations due to multiple creeks overflowing their banks. This includes Nobusiness Creek.
A portion of Bears Trail road near the Bland County School Board office was washed out by flowing water from Hunting Camp Creek. A nearby unofficial rain gauge near Bland reported 3.12 inches of rain on the 27th with nearly 2.25 inches falling from 5:30 PM EDT to 7:00 PM EDT.
Heavy rain caused Laurel Creek to flood out of its banks and enter two homes on Laurel Fork Road. Portions of the road were also flooded and impassible. The property damage is the damage estimate of flooding inside the homes. No injuries were reported.
