Thunderstorm winds blew down a tree directly upon an enclosed trailer. A 34 year old male was loading a lawn mower into the trailer at the time the tree fell, unfortunately, killing him instantly. Damage values are estimated.
Considerable damage occurred to a residential farm property due to thunderstorm winds. A large barn was completely destroyed, with debris scattered a significant distance away. Numerous trees in the nearby area were damaged or blown down by the thunderstorm winds.
Numerous trees, limbs and wires down throughout the town of Amherst. A large portion of town was left without power. Damage extended east along the Route 60 corridor for about 10 miles with several reports of trees or numerous large tree limbs blown down.
