Numerous branches and a few trees down on several roads in Colchester Mallets Bay area, including Prim, Porters Point, Colchester Point. Eldery couple were kayaking near Thayers beach when the storm struck and both capsized and drowned.
Numerous large tree branches and some trees down across South Burlington, especially near the airport. Some tree branches and light structural damage at the airport. Vehicle and structural damage due to fallen trees and branches. VT Air National Guard hanger suffered damage, including damage to several F-16 aircraft.
Several reports of large branches snapped or trees down across Williston from Creamery Road in the south, northeast across Interstate 89 into Williston Village and North Williston road.||On site survey showed snapped branches were from rotten trees and many of the uprooted trees were large maple and/or willow trees with shallow roots in saturated soils. Some structures received minor damage from fallen trees and one willow tree fell on a jeep in a driveway.
