A strong thunderstorm moved over Interstate 15 near mile post 100, dropping heavy rain and significant, accumulating small hail. This storm led to a large pileup accident involving 4 semitrucks and one passenger vehicle. Interstate 15 was shut down in both directions for about 2 hours, and three people (one semitruck driver and two people from the passenger vehicle) were injured.
A dry microburst wind gust estimated at 80 mph (70 kts) was reported by a spotter in Milford. The wind sensor in another part of town clocked a peak wind of 67 mph (58 kts). The winds toppled several trees and power lines.
A trampoline was blown out of a backyard and into some power lines in Minersville. Recorded wind gusts in the area at the time were relatively light, so it is likely that this was caused by a strong dust devil. Time listed is approximate.
