An estimated 23-24 trees were down on houses and roadways in Paris. The most significant damage was on the 600 block of 3rd N.W. Street where a tree fell on a residence. Some trees were 1-2 feet in diameter. A trained spotter estimated 60 mph winds in the northwest part of the city.
An EF0 tornado with maximum winds of 75 mph touched down in far northeastern Lamar County. The tornado touched down near FM 195 and CR 46650, and then moved due east, crossing FM 195. Tree damage was noted early in the track. Near the end of the track, the tornado damaged a few barns; causing them to lose part of their roofs. Near this same location, on CR 45600, a manufactured home was damaged and lost part of its roof.
Based on the damage surveyed, this tornado started just to the east-northeast of the Powderly/Camp Maxey area near the Hidden Lakes Estates along FM 3298. Numerous trees were damaged/snapped or uprooted along the path of the tornado with some relatively minor roof damage to a handful of residential structures. The most concentrated damage occurred along County Road 45250 where considerable tree damage occurred and the EF-2 rating was assigned. The tornado crossed into Red River County for about a quarter of a mile as it was dissipating. Maximum estimated winds were 115 mph.
